In theatres May 3rd: He may be just a stuntman, but he’s the one stealing the show.
He’s a stuntman, enduring explosions, gunfire, crashes, and high falls for our entertainment. Now, after a near-career-ending accident, this working-class hero must track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy, and try to win back the love of his life—all while still doing his day job. What could possibly go right?
From real-life stuntman and director David Leitch, known for blockbuster hits like Bullet Train, Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde, and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and produced by the team behind John Wick, Nobody, and Violent Night, comes his most personal film yet. The Fall Guy is a hilarious, action-packed thriller and a love letter to action movies and the hardworking, often underappreciated crew behind them.
Oscar® nominee Ryan Gosling (Barbie, La La Land, Drive) stars as Colt Seavers, a battle-worn stuntman who returns to the industry after a year-long break to recover physically and mentally. He's called back when the star of a mega-budget movie, directed by his ex Jody Moreno (Golden Globe winner Emily Blunt; Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place, Sicario), goes missing.
As the film's ruthless producer (Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham; Ted Lasso) tries to keep the disappearance of star Tom Ryder (Golden Globe winner Aaron Taylor-Johnson; Bullet Train) a secret, Colt performs outrageous stunts and attempts to win back Jody’s favour. However, as the mystery deepens, Colt finds himself caught in a dangerous criminal plot more perilous than any stunt.
Inspired by the hit 1980s TV series, The Fall Guy also features Winston Duke (Black Panther franchise) and Academy Award® nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once).
Written by Drew Pearce (Hobbs & Shaw), The Fall Guy is produced by Kelly McCormick (Bullet Train, Nobody, Atomic Blonde) and David Leitch for 87North, and by Ryan Gosling and Guymon Casady (Game of Thrones, Steve Jobs and executive producer of the upcoming series Ripley) for Entertainment 360. The film is executive produced by Drew Pearce, Entertainment 360’s Geoff Shaevitz and the creator of the original Fall Guy television series, Glen A. Larson.
